Terrific interview! I love what Roth has to say on being able to woo employers before wooing customers. We recently interviewed Roth on the role of looks in male-dominated industries for Daily Download. http://daily-download.com/women-media-carol-roth-role-male-dominated-world/

Great points and some great ideas for things to consider when you're launching your own business. I would add that it’s critical to learn about the process of getting your product to market or your business off the ground. I’m in the process of starting my own business and product. Andrea Belz’ book Product Development has been a tremendous help to me as I’ve put the pieces in place for the launch. http://belzconsulting.com A mentor recommended it to me and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have an MBA and is starting their own business.
