True! But actually, there are other things to consider in changing career such as you are undervalued, underpaid, you are not given the resources to maximize your potentials, you are not learning and growing. These are just some why people think of changing careers.

Loved your article and totally believe in a career change no matter how old or young I may be. What really helped me with mine was reading The Path Finder by Nicholas Lore who also runs the Rockport Institute http://www.rockportinstitute.com/. At age 67 Nicholas is living the life I want to live - fun and not considered working. Love your site and plan on visiting again.

Many people use these reasons to change jobs, except maybe No.6, The way people change jobs will govern their success rate. The trial and error-escape method (that most people used to pick the jobs in the first place) will cause people to end up in very similar situations with their new jobs, only the scenery has changed. Getting help from a career coach to discover and define in detail their ideally suited work positions, before they start their new job hunt will virtually guarantee that they will not only get hired fast, but that they will also get their best matched work positions.

My experience was being verbally and mentally abuse by a new director. I have had a few jobs during the five years that it has been. I have a slight disability and during the five years, I been on over 250 interviews (in person or skype) sent over 2000 apps via internet.

HR people favorite phrases was "the job just got filled" or "it has been cancel"

So if any of the above problems are things that you are going through, try to stick with the job and job search at night.
