Henderson is populated with Rocky Mountain Rednecks who control their city government and the Police Department. They did, in fact, kill a 5' women holding a butter knife. The area is a polluted mess from the remnants of WW2 manufacturing. Perchlorate from the rocket fuel factory that blew up in 1988, as well as hexavalent chromium are in the groundwater. The retiring mayor, Jim Gibson, fraudulently pushed through approvals on "remediating" areas that are thoroughly contaminated. Love Canal comes to mind. High dollar subdivisions such as Tuscany are becoming vacant, due to the fact of the bad economy, but also because it is built right in the path of the contaminated groundwater. Henderson is a hell hole, and I would leave, but the economy has grabbed my by the shorts.

Despite the report from Emily Brandon, USNews.com on retirement locations such as Henderson Nevada, the people thinking about relocating, need to know that this place is extreemely police abusive. In 2008, a young out of control officer executed a mother infront of her children while she was tasered to the ground and surrounded by police. Witnesses, claimed she had no weapon and everyone believed the police planted a knife which the Inquest supported.
Prevous years Henderson police beaten to a pulp an 85 year old resident and left him lying in a pool of his own blood in jail failing to offer medical attention or calling his family. Befoer that, they split the head wide open of a Handicap man in front of his family. That took 5 staples to put his skull back together.
In all cases of police shootings, beatings and the like, Clark County Nevada, Henderson and Las Vegas has shown to be an very violant area primarily caused by out of control police.
Even the Las Vegas police have murdered and gotten away with it. Such an event when they shot a pregnant womwn and shot in the back a young teen who was in havd cuffs. Countless cases of tasering to death citizens already in custody.
Henderson Nevada is built on a toxic waste dumb of Murcury plants and toxic chemicals. The roads are crooked leading police to create speed traps at the bottom of a hill, hiding behind street corners, and so on. The air is typicall polluted, and there is a 20 year water droubt in effect. The water which comes from Lake mead is undrinkable and running out. The summer time temps are in excess of 120 degrees. The state requires a front license plate with Fault insurance. Many city taxes and fees are hidden until someone buys into this city. Constant violations of US Constitution and a police sales tax soon to rise above 9 percent. Judical corruption and police abuse is the business the city and state are in. The prisons are overfilled with people on trumped up charges and auto accidents.
This area is has one of the Nations highest drop out school rates and highest Taser deaths on record and the list goes on and on.
Citizens of the United States are urged to rethink your plans to retire in Henderson, Las Vegas or the State of Nevada.
