Politely Calling John McCain Old

John McCain should say he will give those taxpayers who are subject to the 2008 Required Minimum Distribution rules regarding Individual Retirement Account Distributions the one-time option of using current year or 12/31/08 account valuations instead of prior yeare or 12/31/07 account valuations. This would cut taxable amount by at least one-half and would insure he would win Florida with its many retirees and perhaps other swing states. Please get this message to him

I made that exact point on my Blog a week ago. I'd be willing to overlook McCain's age if he'd chosen a qualified running mate.

Let's face it folks as you age your body and mind change. I do not feel that a man of his maturity will have the stamina to keep up with the demands of the job. I commend him for his determination but we are talking about the most important job in our nation.

No!! It is not an issue. The campaigning is a hard, constantly on the move job -- does he look even the least bit tired or exhausted??? Come on!! He's doing great!!!

Yes, McCain is way too old to be president. You may not notice it now, but you will notice it 1 year into his presidency when he can't remember the name of the country he runs.

Also, to say that John McCain is a "better man" than Obama is naive and absurd. Have you met both of these men? If you can tell the value of a man's character by seeing him speak on TV, you should be elected supreme judge of the country where you can accurately and succintly sentence or release all people convicted of crimes in this country just by hearing them speak for a few minutes over a closed circuit television.

I have close friends that I've known for more than 8 years who I would never claim to have a clear view of their "value" as a human being and to hear you say you know who is a "better" person just by watching them give speeches goes to show your "inexperience".

McCain is a great man that has more experience and in my book is a far better man then Obama

But wanting to put some more like Scalia, Thomas, Roberts and Alito on the Supreme Court is a problem. Some of those dudes go to ninety and you'll be dead before they stop making decisions against people and FOR corporations.

You remember CORPORATIONS, they're the "entities" not mentioned in the constitution that now have more rights than you, courtesy of those old, old, old men who sit on the court.

As for being "polite" to McCain/Palin about anything, don't.

He's a womanizing beer dealer still fantasizing about chasing skirts as a Navy kid. She's the second beauty queen willing to get on his (other) arm and play cutie-pie as a stunt.
