How the Washington Mutual Takeover Will Affect Consumers

Remember the commercials?! They lied! Those old rich white bankers that the younger clean cut black wamu guy used to sploodge champagne onto have now just taken over.

I will be really hurt if I don't get my "Wamu Rewards" bonus, which has now reached a wopping $3.21!

Woo Hoo?

More like...

Waaa!!!! Waaa!!!

I would like to see the WAMU commercial's naked old men on the cover of Time Magazine - behind bars. Who feels as free as a barn swallow now?

That is absolutely sickening. What a slap in the face to each and every person who holds a mortgage that they now are struggling to pay back, not to mention those who have lost their homes entirely. Shame on those who gave mortgages to individuals they knew would have trouble paying and (I hate to say it, but) shame on those who took the mortgages they couldn't afford.

If a new CD was opened before this take over running for 13 months can JP Morgan Chase change it before the 13 months is finished?

Will I still have my overdraft protection that WAMU had provided to me for my financial needs?

What happens to unresolved issues and records? I received a letter recently saying a check I deposited was made out for $387 and only added $307. I'd like my $80 please!

As a Wash. Mutual customer I do not allow Mr. Fishman or any other CEO to get away with $11.6 million or more in severance pay or retirement. These people need to be straightened out and arrested if need be. They caused all the financial problems by dishonest ways to convince unwary, uneducated customers to make these loans and now they take our retirement money. Do you remember the history of Mussolini? May be the people should give these characters something to remember too, instead they are rewarded. The world must be laughing at the state of our country. This government is out to make history by restoring slavery by control from all our information that is on computers.

As of Friday morning 9/26/2008, the WaMu customer service line does not offer access to any person. Computerized access to accounts for balance and transaction inquiries are still possible, but nothing beyond that.

Mr. Fishman, who has been on the job for less than three weeks, is eligible for $11.6 million in cash severance and will get to keep his $7.5 million signing bonus, according to an analysis by James F. Reda and Associates.

This corporate greed has to stop. I understand that Mr Fishman inherited the WAMU problems, but the money he is making for the month of September 2008 is ridiculous.
