Reader: What Will Happen to My WaMu Pension Plan?

I was employed by Washington Mutual from 1970 to 1989, when I left employment I received the cash value of the current plan, but I believe I may have been covered under the previous plan which would provide me a monthly pension after age 65. I am currently 65 and would like to know if there is a contact that could assist me.

I was a GWB employee with a deferred comp plan. I just rec'd a ltr from Chase saying that although they were not obligation, they were going to make payments

to individuals who were covered pursuant to the plan of reorganization of Wamu as approved by the BK Court. What they are offering is a oke - - 8 cents on the dollars. Does anybody know anything about this or is anyone in the same boat as me?

I'm a former Home Savings of America employee, whose pension was transferred to WAMU. I hope to retire in 5 years. Does anyone know for sure if that group of people will collect pension money?

I left the company in August 2010, I received my pension paperwork and my benefits were set for December 1, 2010 payout. Come December 1st no payout, then I was told January 1, 2011, now Im told it has been restricted. I was just wondering if anone has received their Wamu pension?

I am so disapointed that I have not received any of MY pension.......I put in over 30 years, including my time with Great Western Bank, my amount is so small, so I think it would only be fair to give me my funds from the pension, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kerry, why would you do such a thing, shame on you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a former WaMu employee. I learned that some people have been paid their pension and some are still waiting. This is weird because everyone should be paid or no one at all.

Kerry separated his own deffered compensation and dumped stock at the same moment he and buddies continued to predict WM stock to go back up to the moon and above $100 a share. Some retirees have lost pensions - recent Bankruptcy hearings in Delaware this month squashed our prayers for putting the money back

Jamie doesn't seem like any more honorable of a CEO

I have now been advised 1/5/09 that my pension is in the bankruptcy and will not be funded as I was a Great Western employee. Secretly senior managers unfunded both Great Western and Home Savings aquired employees. Thanks Kerry for taking nearly 90 million in your own scheme.

Just got a letter from JPMorgan Chase saying they will honor deferred compensation of FORMER and CURRENT Wamu Employees. Its nice to know that there are still companies that are doing the right thing. They could have easily not honored any of these benefits. No one could have legally forced them to do anything, yet they decided to pay them. This shows that JPMorgan Chase cares about their employees. That is a lot more than what we can say for Kerry Killinger and the Wamu board who drove our company to bankruptcy just to save their jobs. Kerry always liked to say " to stay Independent". Independently Bankrupted.

Just got a letter from JpMorgan Chase saying that they are paying deferred compensation to former employees and current employees of Wamu. Its nice to know that in this day and age, there are some companies that do the right thing for their employees. Unlike Kerry Killinger, recent disclosures said that Henry Paulson had asked him to sell long before the takeover and he refused just so he can save his job.
