Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

More or less not much noteworthy going on lately, but what can I say? It's not important. I feel like a void. My life's been pretty dull recently. I don't care. Not much on my mind to speak of.

I feel like a fog. Such is life. I just don't have anything to say these days.

Born in 1930, 5 years before the social security act was signed into law, by first paying jobs began at age 12 and FICA taxes were deducted from my pay because the law mandated it.

That continued through all of my jobs all of my life.

Today I draw social security checks that are deducted from the amount of my pension so that my income is capped by what it was in 1995 when I retired.

It does not matter if by social security benefit is increased for any reason, by income is not increased.

But all of my expenses for everything continue to increase.

That's fine if I do not live to be 100, and I don't expect to.

I managed to have my home paid for and be otherwise debt free with a modest savings before I retired.

That's about the best working class people can do--and by the way, my annual income was never what is said to be the average middle class income today.

But it's enough for me and my wife and family---provided I do not live to be 100.
