President Bush Will Downsize in Retirement

You will be greatly missed in the White House. I think you did the best job you could while in office. So many in this country thinks it's easy being president! I supported the war and the way you wanted change for the world. Our country as well and people gripe about this recession were going through. Is that the presidents fault everything is charged on credit? People bought houses they couldn't afford? The bank presidents have private jets and want a hand out? Bush tried from the get go to help! We have been at war since 9/11 and it has cost money. I feel like when Bush was in office we were safe. Not to say Obama won't keep us safe. I still don't know what to think about the new president! With Bush my opinion was I didn't always agree with everything he did but I felt like he had to do what he had to do! Almost like your parents you didn't always agree with them, you felt safe though.. What I feel sorry for the most with Bush is the way he has to listen to the whiny Americans he worked his but off for. I'm from Texas and I know the stubborness us Texans have. Most voted for Bush or he wouldn't of been our president. So the ones that our bashing him you think before you talk!!! Thanks President Bush for your beliefs and don't be hard on yourself. After all were whiny americans when things don't go are way! Some things never change and thats its human nature to have someone to blame for our mistakes in life.....Good Luck Bush and I hope you have a wonderful retirement...Thank God you were a Texan thats how you survived your presidency!!!!

President Bush was an incredible inspiration to me. He, and his staff, made the difficult and unpopular decisions that the liberal left would never have the courage to make. Just like a previous comment in this forum read - he is a Godly man. So many people, who don't have a clue, blame him for all of the problems in the world instead of looking within and seeing that we are all responsible for our own lives.

I served in Iraq and am extremely proud of my service to my country and to the people of Iraq who are finally realizing freedom, which so many in the United States take for granted who have no clue what it is like to serve. President Bush served the U.S. people very well. I, also, served in the Marine Corps when President Clinton was in office - NIGHT AND DAY compared to serving while President Bush was my Commander in Chief!!! President Bush served in the military, unlike Clinton and President Obama. I feel sorry for the troops now serving with Obama as president.

And for you who voted for Obama, take a look at his actions - he supports killing babies through abortion, closing down Gitmo - where is he going to be sending terrorists? - the prison in your town? - Obama does not have a clue and the military of the United States is going to be having to pick up his slack in a big way!!! Believe me, I hope I am wrong, but I am not optimistic at all with his leadership. Let's see how he does - only time will tell.

As for you, President Bush, I am extremely proud of you and my service to our country. I am extremely happy, honored, and proud to have served in the Marine Corps with you as my Commander in Chief. I was always confident in your leadership and never hesitated in the line of duty wondering why I was sent to wherever I was in the world. I do hope to meet you someday and talk to you about Iraq and how the people and children of Iraq cheered and smiled when they saw us, the U.S. Marines, going through their villages and towns on convoys, etc.

God Bless you, President Bush!!!

Respectfully,

Just like anyone changes come to all of us and this is just one of those things that is a part of life. One day we are on top of a mountain, another day we are on top of a smaller mountain. Our attitude should not change with our altitude. I wish President Bush and his wife a glorious time at their new location. With much respect for all that youve done for this country,

Thank You!

And why isn't the media reporting the snopes story about the uranium found (Sadam's uranium to be used to produce weapons of mass destruction)that has been seized by the military and sent by ship to Canada? Maybe the intelligence Mr. Bush relied on was not inaccurate afterall

The only ignorant people are the ones that bought all the LIES the man sold to the American people.

President Bush has been a wonderful, qualified president. Those who cast blame have never walked in his shoes nor faced the many horrible events and have no clue what being president means. So get a life and lay off of him. He is a Godly man and never cast a stone at anyone else even those who falsely accuse him. I resent the hatred this country has and the blame game the childlike adults in America have stooped to as they are ignorant as dirt.

Bush should never have let the life of luxury he was living in the first place. It should be clear to anyone who read anything about his background, going back to his college days, that he was not qualified to be president. As a penalty for the mess he, (and Chaney,) have made of our government, they should be forced to live in subsidized housing for a while!

Well guess that he deserves it after all the problems that he has had to deal with. It took a lot of energy to get our country in the mess its in.
