Although Bush is the prototypical "trust fund boy", the $200k/yr is pennies. On some levels I'm sad to see him go, but on others I know it couldn't come soon enough.

President Bush deserves so much more than he is getting. He WAS the PRESIDENT of our United States and deserves to be treated as such. He deserves everything we can give him in a pension. I do not agree with soon to be President Obama's policies but I do respect that he will be the President of our United States and I will not lower rate myself to the hatred and mean spirit that the Dems have with President Bush... Thank you George Bush for your service to our Country.... I know of no one that could have taken what was dished out to you during your Presidency with more class.......

I am being fiscally responsible to that I don't have to live on Social Security and "work till the day I am buried." I am working hard now and being smart with my money so it won't make a difference whether or not I actually get SS. I am not relying on the government to pay for my bills.
Also, say what you will about Bush but there is no denying that this nation is safer than ever before. I hope Obama keeps it up and inspires the nation to come together and get this country back on it's feet.
Every president is deserving of this pension plan...well, maybe not NIxon.

I think that all former President's deserve a penson except if they have been impeached after they leave office. After all they served our country as Commander and Chief.

I am honored to participate in funding President Bush's pension, whatever sum it may be. He has served honorably over the course of eight years and served with dignity. He is deserving, as are the other former presidents, regardless of whether you agree or disagree with his policy.

No wonder U.S. is in such tremendous debt; look how much the president get. I think they (presidents) should take a cut in their pay especially after their reign as president.
