5 Ways President Obama Plans to Change Your Retirement

I work with seniors trying to get Part D plans to cover their needed medications everyday. The Part D plans as they are now have gone up so much since the inception and they cover less and less drugs every year for higher prices. The insurance companies can change or cancel drugs they will cover during the year, but Seniors can only change plans once a year. These plans are written for the benefit of the insurance companies, NOT our Senior Citizens. Negotiating for lower drug costs SHOULD HAVE BEEN POLICY from the beginning. The Bush Administration gave these drug companies and insurance companies a huge advantage, basically a blank check to charge what they want to charge with no competition. How is that for a free market system?? All Plans under Medicare should be regulated by Medicare. The Medicare Advantage Plans have cost the government so much more than the Traditional Supplements already in place...why would they do that? The insurance companies must have contributed very heavily to the Bush campaign because there has been no common sense used to write these new policies implemented in 2005. The Obama administration will close these gaps and make Medicare FOR THE PEOPLE again.

People who make more can give more into the system, so that EVERYONE can get the healthcare they need when they retire. I don't consider that a penalty for being rich. It is only fair!! Have you seen how the Fortune 500 companies are cancelling their retirees health and drug benefits, right and left? The Medicare system is overwhelmed as it is because of this, when these Corporations are overpaying their CEO's and spending money on Private Jets and making more money and jobs oversees. Regulations should be in place that forbid these companies from cancelling Retiree benefits that they promised to pay and placing the Medicare System in jepordy for their own GREED. GO OBAMA!!!!!
