My thoughts are that our country needs to lower drug costs to compare with those overseas so we won't need to import.

I would like very much for the president to implement his plan of eliminating income tax filing for seniors with income below $50,000. This is a great idea. Thank you, Mr. President.

small businesses create 90% of new jobs in our economy

raising taxes will crush this growth completely

i am a small business owner and i pay 40% of my income to taxes from dollar 1--no matter how much i earn for the year

so therefore when this goes up to 50% with obama's anti-business legislation don't be surprised that more people lose jobs

all these ideas are great "ideology" but what people don't understand is that there are consequences to all of our decisions--often unintended

there is a reason that business are laying off employees----it is in anticipation of losing lots of money with there being less and less jobs

history repeats itself-----read it

I think the President should work with the USA companies to lower the costs of drugs. I would not want to take a drug from overseas based on all the problems with China products in the past.

Big Brother, unlike many of the rest of us (particularly seniors), seems to be alive and well and living in the White House.

After all the (non)stimulus pork, were all these give-aways to be enacted, what incentive would remain for our children and grandchildren. Why become educated, invent, or achieve if "The Government" will take care of your every desire?

I think Obama,s plan should include a review of the lost workers retirement benefits and the yearly ceo,s bonuses for the past five years to develope historical data for the groundwork for his proposal...The lost benefits are shameful and davastating...

first i must say $50,000 income cap would include about 80% of all americans-retired or not. i think that is high. today exxon oil released their profit for the year eqaul to 125 million dollars profit per DAY. i think they should be called on to donate 1 billion or so to shore up social security along with the drug companies donating a share. a country should be judged by how they treat their elderly and disabled and i don't think we're doing very well in that. companies should absolutely be harshly dealt with who dump their pensions and healthcare for retirees earned with 30+ years of hard work.i think a company should be liquidated and the proceeds given to fulfill companies obligations to retirees. i also think we should bill Iran for the military costs from now till when we leave. for the first time in a long time i have hope in the future because of a man called Obama; i only hope that the Change comes before i am a casualty of corporate greed. Oh, there's so much room for improvement........bring it on Mr. President!

At the very least, even if retired couples have a combined income over $50,000.00, Social Security benefits should not be taxed! How insane is that? All our lives we work to contribute to Social Security, then when we finally "retire" we get taxed on our meager pensions! My husband has to continue working at age 69, with several health problems, just to keep our heads above water. I would also work if someone would hire a 67-year-old webmaster.

We must all watch out for the faux imported drugs, such as the ones found from China (white tablets containing sheet rock material --yellow tabs containing yellow paint such as used to paint highway centerlines -blue also faux -all in legimitate looking packages - already found in this country.

We need affordable Rx's --but let's not further sicken or kill ourselves in the attempt.
