I noticed there aren't any cities in California represented.

A beautiful state that has taxed us to the point, it isn't chosen as a choice residence.

so sad!

Too bad they only list the large cities as places that Baby Boomers have and want to be...personally, I have had my full of large cities and want to live on a "Tropical Island."

This information is totally incorrect in my opinion.

Baby Boomers are retiring and want to get out of the rat race.

For more information on Baby Boomer health, and other cool information for and about Baby Boomers, come over to Baby Boomer Advisor Club.

I enjoyed my visit...

Retirees, soon to be known as PLOFIs (People living on fixed incomes),will enentually realize there is no place like home.

And to the gentleman from NJ liberals have no monopoly on sprawl of any type. And it is sprawl which is driving taxes in the northeast. So take your spraw elsewhere to be greeted by rapid growth in school, sewage line, road, and local government costs.

Me? - an up and coming PLOFI - will stay in the NE near an ever more precious supply of fresh water.

When you click on Raleigh-Cary on your list, you are taken to a fact sheet about the area that greatly needs to be corrected/updated. It shows that there are little or no public golf courses, parks, theaters, museums, universities, etc. in the area and there are actually tons of golf courses, parks, theatres, museums, and several universities in the area. The metro area has over a million people and the overall area is called the Resarch Triangle area because it is situated in between Raleigh (the state capital), Durham, and Chapel Hill, the homes of NC State University, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina (UNC), respectively, and at the center of the area is the well-know Research Triangle Park (RTP) which is the home to many major companies employing thousands of people. I'm not necessarily trying to encourage tons of people to move here because growth and traffic are already issues but I also didn't want people to get the wrong impression of the area based on the fact sheet.

Analyze this list and one may wonder why it doesn't have a city/area anywhere near the Northeast? Couldn't be that there are just too many tax-loving knuckleheaded liberals like Jon Corzine (NJ-D)running state governments in the northeast, now could it? Level headed retirees are becoming sick and tired of their lives being legislated all over the place(finally)and are moving to the more moderate and conservative thinking areas of this country. Of course with Obama apologizing for America's obtuse behavior and past transgressions (but let's not include foreigners impregnating American women and then beating a path back to their other wives in their home country thereby avoiding any child-rearing responsibility),it will not make much difference where we live...no more than two months into BO's administration and I am suddenly wondering why my dad, brother, son, uncles and I ever volunteered to serve in the armed forces for such an undeserving country as the USA!
