Do your research and look at who owns controlling interest in these corporate owned restaurants and how much money goes into our government from these peoples lifestyles. If our elders our shooting themselves in the foot then who do the younger generations have as an example? Its clear that these organizations are destroying everything in this country but who is supporting this lifestyle the hardest? I think its becoming clear who alot of the culprits are and they don't want to take any responsibility or blame. We can find things out today, we can gather data and track now...you cannot hide what you do anymore. I respect some in this generation but too many make a bad name for the rest of them. Just sad that the younger generations have these people to learn from.

Fast food!!! Just what I want to be eating when I'm retired. No thanks, I hope I can at least afford better meals than that in my retirement years.

I'm sorry to say that I've eaten at 18 of the 20 restaurants, but that's because those are the choices when I'm on the road for work. Whenever possible, I eat at a locally owned place. They are more likely to have local fresh foods at good prices. I hope that I'm not eating at KFC and the like in my retirement years. It would be better to eat at home. A few places in the list have a fun atmosphere and that makes it worth a visit when with friends. If you eat at Olive Garden and think that you are eating authentic Italian food you are mistaken. If you eat there because you know better but just like the food, then that's fine. Eat up and have fun!

Of course the list is full of national chains. They are the only ones that are, well, national. So local diners, pizza joints and yes, even hot dog stands, don't stand a chance against those with hundreds, and even thousands of locations.

The results would be far more informative if they listed percentage of meals taken at each location. Betcha local eateries would fare far better when they are grouped together the same way the national chains were.

You'd think these Brand-Name Restaurants would offer discounts or some rewards for our loyalty. Their commercials don't even feature over 55 year old actors.Guess they want us to think eating there will keep us young...Fat chance!

I am saddened to see all the chain restaurnats on the list. Most disappointing is most of them sell unhealthy food, high in fat and sodium. Folks better start supporting the local businesses or there will be none. And then we are back to no control over what we eat, how it it is prepared, frozen, treated, sprayed etc. and owned by corporate America. Look for the local bargans with real food.

I don't believe the positive comments on Cracker Barrel. What it serves is not even real food -- and that goes for IHOP and the other purveyors of tasteless crap like "maple flavored syrup."

Texas Roadhouse!! Best beef I've ever had. They have specials Monday thru Friday, but I'd rather save up and have their Ribeye, and sit and savor. lol. Hard to find a consistently good steak, and this is it!

I agree with HeyLady. While I (at65) eat at most on the list I love the Cracker Barrel. Love to browse the connected shop for unique items before or after eating. Plus the menu gives you lots of options and all taste great without breaking the bank!
