I agree with the list, but we also use several of our local restaurants occasionally. The real problem is the cost of going to restaurants, regardless of whether they are "brand-name" as in the list or local ones. When the menu is opened and my wife or our family looks at the prices of the food, we know for sure that we could prepare the same meal or a similar meal for a LOT LESS than what we will pay at the restaurant.

As a result, we're staying home and eating at home a lot more than two years ago when I retired, and given the economy, usually we only go out when someone else is paying!!
