Oh yes, and I am not in the high income group. Also, I agree with the teachers retiree from Texas. They haven't had a raise in 9 years, or more. My husband is also a retiree.

Retired Federal employees on Medicare have to pay an additional $5 monthly premium because their premiums are not deducted from Social Security. Our premiums can't be deducted from Social Security becaue we are not entitled to be covered by Social Security. This is discrimanatory and should be changed. Our premiums are deducted from our Civil Service Annuties and we Federal retirees have not received any cost of living adjustment for the past two years either.

Fought in three wars for my country. I have depended on medicare part b to help me with medications (limited income). But now it appears that the war veterans will just get screwed. It's no wonder the administration attempts to keep the military from getting their ballots overseas. He and they do not want the troops voting.

frankly i dont think we are being told the whole truth about people on dissibility and medicare and how it will effect us as a whole. benifits and cuts are going to be made somewhere? what else will have to be scraficed to offer this type of help to the older and dissabled population. whats the catch?

Our goverment says the reason for no cost-of-living increase is because cost of living has not gone up, well our Ins. coverage is

going up, Part D coverage is up and has anyone purshased paper products lately (we have to have toilet paper) maybe milk hasn't gone up but meat and vegetables have increased from 2008.

I think it might be a little easier for our goverment to forgo an

increase rather then someone getting $1700.00 per month and I know some people aren't even getting that much. maybe if everone would pull together it would be wonderful, but the case is, it's always the less fortunate.

I have been pre-paying my Medicare premiums 3 months in advance each time due since I went on Medicare almost a year ago.. and have just been notified that my premium is being increased 15% STRICTLY BECAUSE MY PREMIUM IS NOT DEDUCTED FROM A SS CHECK ! This is unfair and illogical ... I understand 75% of the recipients are not having an increase, only those with high incomes (which I understand), new enrollees (which I understand) and people who have been on Medicare . paying their premiums . but not having the premium deducted from a SS check?? (Which I do not understand .. and does not make sense .. I am being penalized because I was pre-payment my premiums 3 months in advance each time?? .. 15% doesn't sound like a lot . but it adds up to thousands of dollars in the years to come..

Pat Flanagan of IL appears to live in total unreality.

Bless you, Pat. We hope you can come into reality soon. It's better, healthier. Honest.

Penelope Foran of NM lives in reality. You go, Ms. Foran!

I feel exactly as Muser of NM does. Tell 'em, Muser!

Good day, all.

I would appreciate a cost-of-living increase for 2010 and 2011 but this

country is in such a huge financial mess I can make do without it. We all

need to start pulling together and try to unite...otherwise I see a very bleak

future and I don't like the feeling.
