get by on less than $35 per day, especially if we're talking about a measure that is said to EXCLUDE normal household bills and major purchases.

There are plenty of people who aren't retired and have jobs paying around $8.00 - $9.00 per hour. That's $64.00 - $72.00 a day BEFORE taxes, rent/mortgage, health care, car/house insurance, utilities, and car. And, then, there are too many people who have no job, or no home, or no health care---or all three.

Well, if you factor in utilities, perhaps during the summer i could and since i would be mostly eating at home and not driving much, i could, but not for too many consecutive days.

I spend $42.00 per day on rent, that doesn't include water, sewer, elec. which I also heat with. Not to mention, food, clothes, property taxes, sales tax, gasoline and the list goes on. Think real hard about what you really spend daily. But thats ok, because Gov John Corzine has made sure we all have a money tree like his growing in our back yards, to pay all the new tax increases he came up with. Just so we can have a 10.4 billion dollar state deficit next year. Way to go John. Being the financial genious you appear to be I wonder why Goldman-Sachs got rid of you?? Maybe we should look to your record as Gov. for an answer. But don't worry John you'll get re-elected by the ba ba ba sheep of Democrat voters of Nj because they would rather vote for a party than their own children and grandchildrens' futures. What are they going to do when they don't get their pensions because it now has a 100 billion deficit, and you elected to not pay the states share again this year. Visions of a railroad tie and some tar and feathers come to mind.
