Drug Prices Outpace Inflation

Time to fight back. Next time you visit your doctor review all the prescriptions you are taking and ask the right questions.

1) Is the drug necessary?

2) Is their a generic that works just as well?

3) Is this long term and what do I need to do to no longer need this medication?

Pharmaceutical advertising is driving the market and the consumer can stop playing into their financial pocketbook.

Medicare beneficiaries have the power to change the ever increasing rise in cost. Part D drug plans cost more when you use the latest and greatest. Shop around for the best plan and do it each year. Don't let your doctor write a prescription until you make him check your Part D plan for coverage and try step therapy first before going for the Tier 2 or 3 drug.
