The conservative prudent savers (like me) are being bled to death in this artificially low interest rate environment. Personally my taxable interest on non-retirement savings is down about$10,000 a year, and the interest on my 401k fixed income fund is down about $15,000 a year. The beneficiaries of this low interest rate environment are the banks and secondarily those who are going into debt to buy houses etc.

I would annuitize my retirement accounts and get $90,000 a year but I fear a 4x current inflation rate in the next 20 years.
