i am 66 years old and plan to retire within 2 or 3 years. my wife is 57 years old and plan to retire in 6 years. we have a total of around 650,000 in our 401k. my wife also has her own retirement plan from work as a public health nurse for the county. we have 150,000 in our home mortgage and another 15,000 from our equity loan. we have a combine cash of around 10,000. we planned to refinance our home mortgage but can not decide the term. she wants the 15 or 10 years fix to payoff the loan. i want the 30 years to lower the monthly payment. we keep on arguing. please help!
