With the Healthcare reform, that's the big question. The figure does not include the costs associated with some medications purchased over the counter, dental services, and long-term or nursing home care.

What if a couple is on Medicare and they take out supplemental insurance. Would the Supplemental Insurance coverage eliminate the majority of the $250K?

True statement: my mother was on Medicare and had Supplemental insurance (approx. $130 per month) and approximately 98% of her medical cost was covered!
