TN is just about one of the only states that offers NO HELP for it's over taxes tax clients. Pretty poor for the hard working people in this state. So, go ahead and vote for the GOP again and watch just how poor they can get us. Just one of my med's cost more that $250.00, but at least I can eat a better line of cat food for 1 month.

Thank,s GOV.

Some of my friends have already received their check for $250. Out of pocket costs: $4,592.34 in 2010. Like Robin, how do I find out if I will receive a check & when?

I'm getting the runaround too. Called the Part D provider and they said to call Medicare. They have 90 days to notify Medicare and Medicare has 30 days to issue the check. Called Medicare and they said they were not notified. Called back Part D provider and they said we don't know whether we sent the notification and we can research it if you provide us proof you are an authorized user. In the mean time my mom died and now even though I am an authorized user I need proof of executorship. BS runaround. I'm going to call my congressman but I doubt he'll be much help either. My mom hit the donut hole on 7/17 (five months ago). I even have the Part D statement to prove it.

Entered donut hole 9/15/2010. It is now 11/30/2010, still no check. Any thoughts as to what has happened?

Been in the doughnut hole 2 months....still no check....is there a way to find out if you will receive one or not and when they might be mailed if so?

It's been over 45 days since I fell into the gap and still no check. I called my Part D provider and Medicare. Both had no clue what to do except to wait on it. If you don't receive it, call back. This is very frustrating to me. There should be a way to determine if the check has been processed. Or am I just crazy?

I contacted my part D provider and they told me that they notify Medicare twice a month (something like on the 15th and 28th) of your status which includes when you go into the donut hole. So, you can predict when you get your check depending on the timing. Checks seemed to be mailed early in the month (around the 10th it seems). Unfortunately there's no way (that I've found) to determine whether a check has been mailed to you or not and when. Perhaps some folks could share with us when they received theirs so we know when to expect ours.

My Dad passed away the week before the check arrived...do we need to send it back or is it part of his estate?
