I know I'm late to the party here but isn't there something wrong with the Federal Government spendng 3/4 of a million dollars to trump the positives of a partisan health care bill that is supported solely by democrats? Do their PSAs mention any of the negative changes in the name of educating the old folks?

I didn't hear Andy say anything about not being able to find a Dr. that will take medicare.

These ads should be paid for by the Democratic National Committee, just like those annoying signs on the road that say "this project is brought to you by the American ReInvestment and Recovery Act".

I'm appalled my tax dollars are being spent on what amounts to political ads for the Democratic party.

That commercial is one of the saddest things I have seen in a while. Poor Andy, Had he only listened to the advice he gave Opie about Horatio the half a boy, he would understand that his beloved medicare is going to be bankrupt. I am holding out hope that his involvement in this promotion is really a publicist taking advantage of a senile older gentleman in his twilight years. I hate to think that he is misleading people on purpose.

Andy Griffith is being disingenuous to seniors. Not only does he embarrassed himself he is erroneously supporting a health care bill that is not beneficial to seniors.

And we are all going to end up paying for it with worse medical care at higher costs. Are most people aware that Medicare limits the amount of Doctors in the USA each year and has done so for decades? Does anyone realize that Medicare was designed to help a small % of Americans that did not have Health insurance at retirement but has single handedly destroyed defined pension programs? How about the over 70 Trillion in unfunded liabilities our kids, Grand kids and Great grand kids will have to pay for all due to gross incompetence of the politicians playing with our money?

Considering he lives in Europe now, he has no real isea what this healthcare bill really means, and should really be ashamed for "selling his soul" on this issue. It's bad enough AARP sold their souls to back this... now him of all people. I listen to AARP commercials now and instead of going "Sign me up" I want to know "Where's the nearest door".
