Between the housing bust and the current recession I lost my house and all my savings. I am sure I have a lot of company! We will all be working until we are dead.

Unless, like GB said, we have a govt job or are a politician..

Everyone knows that somewhere in the near future (probably after the election) the retirement age will have to rise AND benefits will have to be cut. This is the reality of the problem. The government can not just keep kicking the can down the road for the next administration to deal with. I think the only retirements will be for Doctors, Lawyers, CEO's. The only way for ordinary working people to have a retirement is if they have a govenment job.
