Just retired in July 2010. Accepted a part-time position with a local School District working six hours daily. However, I am also solely responsible for my 92 y/o mother. Unfortunately, I have had little success with companions in my home. Therefore, I had to resign. Currently, I am unable to attend Church, Support Groups or any activities...thats my life in a tiny nutshell.

A wonderful, free site where you can meet others in your area with similar interests. And, you can start your own meetup group if you'd like. First meetings are in public places for safety.

Great article! You should always be concerned when going on a date, and it dosen't matter if you met them through an online dating service or at a bar. bConcerned.com offers a free dating safety tool, that monitors and confirms your safe arrival home. The founder is a police officer and he offers valuable dating safety tips to follow.

Getting involved in local organizations such as Rotary Clubs and town boards, fair boards and committees where you can interact, contribute and meet new people. Everytime you try something new, you grow and become more interesting as well! Thanks - Marge at deadbytuesday.com
