"jobs in this field are also in great demand." The health care field is glutted. Everybody is getting in. There are now more workers than there are jobs. As funding for health care shrinks, so will employing workers. People may need health care, but if you don't have the money to hire them then what good is having a ton of health care workers. Schools continue to tell people the jobs are in health care, and while many will find jobs, many more will go without a job or find one in another field. Those the breaks.
