The above attributes are the same as for working people. Who doesn't want good medical facilities, lower taxes, low cost of living, etc? There is so much more to consider about retirement than your surroundings.

Think about it this way. You spent about a third of your life getting ready to work. A third working. Now you've got a third left retired. Focusing on the peripheral attributes can leave you seriously blindsided to what's reallly important.

I have doubts that all the mentioned things of a good retirement place can ever be found in one state or area,& if they can you be armpit deep in traffic & long lines to wait in when you got there!!
