It seems you forgot to include two of the newest films about getting older:

"The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and "Quartet."

There is also a great little paperback that was published years ago (which can be got on Amazon) called, Late Bloomers, written by former New Yorker magazine editor, Brendan Gill which highlights lots of different famous people from different careers who succeeded in later years. An inspiring little book!

I want to see realistic films that reflect on how state governments displace those nearing retirement by outsourcing their jobs, taking away their healthcare while they lie in hospital beds to save money to give themselves perks and bonuses. Also, let's make sure that we reflect on those aspiring politicians who brag about the money that they saved the state that put state education dollars into the hands of private, elitist schools, thereby leaving less-affluent schools without the basics. This film should also reflect upon how state governments are shutting down healthcare facilities for mentally deranged individuals, while putting guns into their hands and delivering fiery speeches that perpetuate violence.

I BET THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING TO SEE!

As you may have heard, General Motors announced its plan to reduce their pension liability by an anticipated 26 billion dollars. This plan, first announced on June 1, will provide some U.S. retirees a continued monthly payment of their pension and other, salaried, retirees a lump-sum payment. When making this decision, it will be important to understand the consequences and benefits of both choices. Consulting a knowledgeable financial advisor is recommended. The deadline for your decision is July 20, 2012. Visit http://www.gmpensionbuyout.net for more information, including a free white paper, to help navigate this choice on the General Motors (NYSE:GM) Pension Buyout.
