It is very informative good article. I am 72 years old but have not completed 40 credits for claiming SSA benefits.Nor have I received any paper statement since last 3 years.Can somebody clarify position of my eligibility for SSA benefits.

can someone help point me in right direction? My husband received about 75% soc security benefits(from age 64. He was told when reached 68(2008) he was eligible for full retirement benefits...but cant find out how to receive couple years of back pay.
