A Bailout for Small Business?

The Center for Media Research has released a study by Vertical Response that shows just where many of these ‘Main Street’ players are going with their online dollars. The big winners: e-mail and social media. With only 3.8% of small business folks NOT planning on using e-mail marketing and with social media carrying the perception of being free (which they so rudely discover it is far from free) this should make some in the banner and search crowd a little wary.

first i am a small business owner in constructio second every small business owner and american needs to unite and yell at our so called government its more like the rich boys club and we are not members of that club. they dont care about 1000.000 and more small business owners going under as long as they can cover there big business or the banks. until we speak up and tell them hey this is our land and our home too. and its our money that your giving away and every american should look at what we buy and if it dont say made in the USA leave it on the shelf let wal-mart fall too they say low prices ya i say all they do is buy over seas. look at just what is made in the USA sold at wal- mart and all these other stores too. keep american jobs in america and keep american money in america if the bank or a car company falls and goes under well im sure a smart bank can buy them up at a steal and re work it so they wont get there big checks any more oh well welcome to the real world

It's the large businesses that have fulfilled Congress' dreams for the last four decades- the non-polluting, safer workplaces, the affirmative action programs, safer products, .
Small business? What is small businss, if not a bunch of corner-cutting, tax-cheating, under-capitalized, scheming, unemployable, immigrant-exploiting. Republican-voting misfits championed by the likes of Rush Limbaugh and John McCain? I've worked for small businesses and family farmers most of my life: no benefits, low wages, glass ceilings (the good jobs go to their relatives), unsafe workplaces, no paid holidays or vacations or health care benefits. For themselves, it's nice cars, nice houses, nice toys, and for the workers it's 'my way or the highway' and a notion that they're doing God's work by employing the less-fortunate. It's easy to idolize the small business owner when you're a politician or government employee or large-company worker, but impossible when you actually are an employee of a small business. Enough, already!
Late in life, I became a Union man and started earning a living wage. I'm now quite irritated that the Democrat party that my union supported has turned out to be just as good for the aristocracy as the Republican party of Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and Dumya Bush!

More and more manufactures are closing shop due to free trade. Look at labels on merchandise. See made in China alot? Call customer service at a bank card or tech company. Guess who your talking to? Certainly not Americans.
We have got to limit free trade or impose taxes on companies sending our jobs overseas. Not tax breaks!
I try really hard to buy American, but it is increasingly getting harder and harder. If you do find something made here, it is usually very expensive. My small business has survived on doing business with mold and die shops. No need to say what has happened to these customers. They can't compete with our Chinese friends.
I am calling for small buiness bailout. I think it is only fair that we are included in the bailout. Afterall, we, the small busineses of America are the backbone of our economy. Without us there is no economy. What good is it to have healthy banks when there are no depositers or investors. You bankers think about it and then keep in mind who the real customers are.
No purchasing means no manufacturing and that means no one has money to invest or deposit and no more credit cards. We can all then find a place under a bridge to live.

We atarted our business in 2003 when the economy was struggling and still managed to become profitable. I thought it was tough then. But now, we are in trouble along with other small busineses. We have cut, cut and cut but now there is no more cutting to be found.
I just wonder why we the taxpayers are bailing out the banks that won't give us a loan to survive. Unless your credit score is nearly perfect, you might as well forget about it. It is unbelievable to know that the morons running our country can continue to throw our hard earned money in to that black hole. The one that started this mess and continues to enjoy the ease of mind that they are being helped by the good people of the USA.
When my business was doing well, loans were not a problem, but who needs the loans when things are good? Now that business is down and our recievables are almost non-exisitant, the banks turn thier heads.
Imagine, that one of my bankers has the nerve to complain that people blame the banks for these problems. Big fancy office, expensive furniture, and a job and a bailout. What more do they need?

I really dint't understand where there headsw are small business
bult the usa and now we get nothing. we could jumpstart everthing that is wrong and they don't want to give us anything

YES! Give the money to the people! How better to jump start the economy than giving it to us, the real folks. We would instantly flood the banks by paying off our loans, our credit cards, our mortgages and our student loans, maybe some in our saving. Come on lets get a clue here folks. Government is going to hand it right over to the ones that mishandled it in the first place. Why would you dump it down the same hole that you just lost it in. The same people that squandered it the first time are still sitting in that same seat ready to squander it again! There's got to be a better way. There is, give it to us, the real people! I own a small business and have managed to handle my affairs for 11 yrs now. I was growing as a small business. Now some bigwig gets to blow me out of the water and keep on truckin. When is someone going to make the right choices for us?

I can't believe there is not a program for small business people.It would be illeagle to offer relief to one american business and not another, no matter what size???

I am one of those small business that is caught up like so
Many others. I would like to see some help, toward people like myself. Like so many my belts are so tight I can't breath. Small businesses are being strangled to death we need help and now, these banks and other financial institutions are killing us. And yet still they are being bailout. My credit cards are max out and other accounts so what are we suppose to do. In the last year I have lost accounts, due to the lack of cash flow. Something must be done to help the little guy. We need to be bailout like last year HELP PLEASE....
