I work for a warranty company that took over CC warranty's and one of my customers got their rebate check for an HP printer after buying asony laptop, but the check bounced back when she went to cash it.

I too bought the HP with $150 rebate on black friday. I got confirmation in Jan or Feb (don't have paper in front of me). I am upset that I may not get my rebate.

I found a website - use your search engine and type in "circuit city rebates" and statement of sorts from CC is available basically saying they are not honoring rebates now but check back. There is a link in the statement but the link takes you to just another version of the same statement. Because of their bank ordered liquidation, I don't think we have hope for our $50 - in some ways sorry to see CC go away but certainly don't miss them for their rebate bull!!!!!

So everyone in family bought a web camera the day after thanksgiving and all 5 of us are waiting for rebates... We would have gone some where else if we would have realized we werent getting a rebate back!

I also bought HP laptop from the blackfriday sale at Circuit city, $150 rebate for HP laptop, they sent me email with rebate Tracking Number on Jan 22nd date, no updates after that! I called in Feb and was told to wait, and now, can't even talk to anybody now. What should I do!!!

"Circuit City Rebate Scam
I bought logitech webcam with $50 rebate on thanksgiving. and still waiting for a rebate. They told me on Jan 21 that check is issued and i will soon receive it. I keep checking with them, and they keep saying i will get it. feb 26: they stopped all communication, no more updates. It is 4th march today, and i have no hope for my $50 check.
They gave false information that check has been issued, and never sent it. This is clearly a malpractice and fraud. I would be willing to file lawsuit against them. "
Please advise me of what you are doing.

i had gotten the logitech web cam and so had my girlfriend. i received my rebate check but not my girl...they told her they had the wrong address and they would issue a new one...i had actually sent the two rebate forms(mine and hers) at the same time. i dont think it was a total scam because i got mine...as for the rest of you im not really sure...i wish it was a manufacturer rebate because logitech is only 10min away and i would be protesting...but anyway...good luck to you all
