It's come to my attention that girls need a job and without other avenues what on gods earth do you think they will do? Without working parents who now are forced to send their children out without a job just so they can feed themselves yea it's a problem for some it's the answer! Threw ground roads would end the problem and place America back on the map!

First, the employee loss of 20% at $58,000 means 100% is $290,000. Really?

2nd... anyone worth their salt can easily spend 20% of their time looking at porn and still get tons of work done. Perhaps they are less likely to sue over a slip and fall or discrimination?

Solution: "Sunset" Congress... disband most of the government and viola! It's much cheaper to pay someone to watch porn and give them unemployment and subsidies. Let's hire porn stars to do essential government positions as they are VERY hard working. ;-)

What is this with Porn and Freedom of Speech? I have not once heard a Vagina utter anything worth repeating.

$58,000 for the work he was not doing? If he wasn't doing 20% of his work, then he's paid a salary of $290,000. That more shocking than the porn!

He's just looking for an excuse to do fact-finding internet "research" on internet porn.

Workplace use of internet porn is a fantasy in the minds of anti-porn zealots. I know a lot of people who watch porn. Myself included. But I'd never be stupid enough to do it on my work computer. Watching porn on a work computer is so .. . . . 2001.

who says you can't be productive while playing porn at work... kind of like listening to the radio....

"One employee spent 20 percent of his work time viewing pornography - a cost of $58,000 in compensation he received for work he was not doing"

What is this government employee doing that he makes almost $300k a year?

All organizations in the Public or Private sector whether for Profit or not for Profit, exist principally for the personal enrichment of their Senior Managers.

Bureaucracies in the Private sector are usually the result of careless and uncaring, management for whom advancement in salaries and achievement of bonuses is the principle focus, followed and usually unlinked to the achievement of profit. These mini empires however tend to disappear abruptly as soon personal income appears threatened.

In the Public Sector bureaucracy building and seniority are the two essential in achieving personal progress. Profit is a tasteless and vulgar word [though everyone lives of it] and efficiency a cardinal sin. A complex and preferably incomprehensible bureaucracy is essential in order to disguise such self-serving practices as personal aggrandizement from public view. It is also necessary to diffuse the blame for any adverse impact, over sufficient numbers of individuals or groups, that none can be held responsible should they ever be discovered. These types of bureaucracies are self perpetuating and irremovable without privatization or revolution.

Viewing pornography at work is at best or worst, a peripheral problem caused by lack of work or oversight or both

I think that when people masturbate they lose interest in sex with people at a point. That lack of hope leads to lack of productivity. Lack of goals.- That does affect GDP.- It also leaves society in a void. Young people form their standards off of what they see. Sexually pornography changes the way we see intimacy. But it is not inherently bad into itself.- Pornography is bad the way beer is bad. Pornography is bad the way church is bad. - People who use it to much as a crutch to normal interaction suffer.- When one person is alone. It's really two people.- The problem with pornography in America is that education about pornograply is not taught at a young age in school. Young people. PRE PUBESCENT age children NEED sex education before they have the urge to do it. They need to understand that they will be loosing out on real discovery by watching porn.- Sex is best explored between people.- Masturbation is ok. Good even.- Healthy safe sex is a vital part of a stable sane healthy adult life- Sexual skills are learned and taught. Porn does help people learn technique and to become aroused.- The porn industry is a MULTI BILLION DOLLAR industry in America. It's a flawed argument to say it's not adding in a very direct manner to the GDP. Pornography has added incentive to learn computer skills. The industry has added very real computing software to the internet- does it need piracy regulation so the Workers are of documented age and health and receive revenue for their work? Of course- It might be a fun job but it's still a job. I'm sure not every day in a pornstars life is enjoyed. There is a social price these people pay.- The industry needs protection and regulation - not elimination. The last thing America needs is a war on Porn. That will drive it underground and make it much more dangerous and socially detrimental. - Seriously. The last thing we need in America is people getting arrested for having or viewing legal age consenting sex- If you don't like porn. Don't watch it.- If you do watch porn. Make sure you still have actual sex-
