We went with an all inclusive package to St. Lucia in December and got a really good deal- prices are down from where they were a year ago- we booked through ResortCompete, they have agents compete to find the best deal so you get a better picture of the pricing.

The economy is making this the best time in years to travel if you can afford it. Try checking out some of the travel websites, try CruiseCompete or ResortCompete, both have the travel agents compete to get you the best deal. And they are working extra hard right now for bookings...

We are planning to visit Austrlia in a few weeks. My wife had wanted to go sometime to visit her brother there and last November 3 things happened: the Australian dollar dropped dramaticlly against the dollar (now $1 US is equal to $1.48 Aus) making it one of the few places where the dollar is strong; Qantus has been having great sales prices (e.g. 2 for 1) as travel to Australia isn't that popular recently; we had 50,000 freq flier miles we got for free with Amex to use up before it was time to renew the card (which we will not)that saved $500 off the already discounted airfares. Adding them all together got us RT ticktes for $2600 when a few weeks before I had priced them at $4,000.
