I am 61 years old & disabled with heart disease. I also have 1/2 of one carotid. In 20-30 years I will not be here anymore. So frankly my dear I do not give a damn!

Obama is on course to destroy the country as best he can in as short a period as he can. I only hope that some one wakes up & sees this before it is to late. 20 years of Rev. Wright's teaching is baring fruit through Obama.

As Obama kills jobs in America with exporting auto jobs overseas, killing off manufacturing with energy policies that will raise every homeowner's energy bill by at least $1,500 per year, is it any wonder that the tax base for Social security amd Medicare is drying up? This is not the change that 52% of the foolish Americans were hoping for when they voted for this Socialist progressive. Now we will have the devil to pay as a tsunami of mediocrity engulfs us all.

We need to get out of other countries and close all of our bases . Our founding fathers gave us a democratic republic, NOT an empire! We are nothing but a big bully to most of the world. THAT is why we are so hated all around the world. The only reason we are there is to bully them so OUR corporations get the favors we want. That is why we always go to war - some corp. gets upset that some other country has the nerve to want us to pay a fair price, or take care of workers or the environment...HOW DARE THEY! Bully Amerika can do as she wishes! Get out, close the bases, and we will have plenty of money for healthcare.

Hmmm... Health Care for ALL Americans is Simple!

1) Merge Medicare with Medicaide into one single "Income Based" system

for elderly and poor citizens.

2) Require insurance companies to provide the same basic coverage for

all Non-Medicare/Medicaide citizens, regardless of health status, at

affordable rates.

3) Allow insurance companies to profit by offering additional benefits

and options to those who qualify and are willing to pay the difference.

As for Funding...

1) Changing from an "Emergency Treatment" to a "Preventive Care"

system will save local communities billions, maybe even trillions of

taxpayer dollars!

2) Small business will be able to compete globally and hire additional

taxpaying employees!

3) Wealthy seniors will pay their fair share!

4) The tremendous burden on future generations will be greatly reduced!

The US needs to cut back on its military spending and tell its "allies" they they must do more for themselves or take their chances. How about the US getting out of Germany, Japan, South Korea and the Middle East? US taxpayers paying into Social Security and Medicare deserve to receive their promised benefits. We need a single payer health system much more than foreign military bases. The European Union and Japan are much more dependent on Middle East oil than is the US, whose largest foreign oil supplier is Canada. For a country that preached family values throughout the Bush administration, we are sure giving the shaft to the next generation of taxpayers, in the form of an exploding national debt.

should be replaced by single-payer national health insurance for all. Cradle to grave, with significant cost reductions from eliminating the current "insurance" game completely, regulating the price of drugs downward, eliminating all punitive damages from patient lawsuits, doubling the number of primary care physicians via shorter training and scholarships, and funding all this from progressive income tax---not "payroll" tax.

It's important for the government to not go bankrupt over healthcare. It is even more important for the government to not allow the the majority of citizens to individually go bankrupt over healthcare.

http://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/news/whatsnew/stiglitz-lecture.htm

"Stiglitz calculated that one-sixth of the Iraq War’s cost would fund Social Security for the next 75 years...."

And the cost of the bank bailout is about the same as the cost of the Iraq war.

"Bank bailout could cost $4 trillion"
