More Economic Relief Being Sought for Seniors

If you lived in CT. you would not think inflation is on the low side.

We are struggling to make ends meet as far as the price of food alone goes

and then consider the price of gasoline.

I challenge any one of the so-called law makers in Congress to have a go

at it on our monthly income. They have no idea what we go through after

retirement because they have a pension that they don't even deserve.

All they do is fight with each other.

I am not in favor of Gov't handouts unless there is some kind of means tesing. Although, I feel compassion for the elderly that are in dire straights, we need to draw the line somewhere with handouts......

AARP is a powerful lobby that has helped to make the current generation of seniors the wealthiest to date. Their argument is flawed in that it asks for $250 for ALL seniors, including those who are wealthy, rather than those who are actually hurting. If we follow this logic, even employed persons should receive a $250 check simply because a good many people are unemployed.
