Most Against Another $250 Payment to Seniors

Sometimes I think most people are just wishing us seniors would die.We were good enough to be there for others but when we need help, who is there? I pray that the $250.00 goes to us seniors this November because we will not get a raise to cope with our food, gas and anything else.God help us all !!! That extra money would buy me some car insurance, pay some medical bills and I could eat for another 3 months.

Please, if you are going to rant about the posts of others and blatantly call them out on a public online forum, have the decency to check your spelling, grammar, and mechanics. I am a High School student and I am utterly disgusted by your post, not because it conflicts with my beliefs, which it does, but because of the simple fact that it is unintelligible. As for the addition of another $250 stimulus payment to seniors, I have no opinion. I am not a senior citizen, and none of my close family members collect social security checks. In fact, most of my close family will never collect social security, since the funding will dry up before any of them retire.

It will take more than $250 dollars to buy my vote but I would suport a low income means test for the payment.

These Colas are not based of food, gasoline or medical prices. The Cola is a farce and is only formulated for union employees.

Bren in KY - your comments don't belong here- you're not on topic - take your soap box to YOUR church and don't try to impose YOUR views on others. MC of WV - sending money to Israel is in our best defense in the region. Israel is our only real ally and if you look at US incursions in the region, you'd see that I am right. Without Israel, the US is dead in the desert. How convenient for you to omit where our taxpayer dollars in the trillions just went. So, maybe like Bren in KY your soap box isn't really about where taxpayer dollars go but seeking opportunities to proselyze because spreading the word is more important than anything, right? Not here!

I am sick of worrying myself to death every month just trying to figure out who gets paid first; the water company, electric co., gas co., Dr. Pharmacist, etc..

I haven't had a new pair of shoes in 5 years! They are getting pretty worn out folks.

I stay home all the time because I can't afford to go anywhere. For over 3 years I have sat in my house. I am not living, and would barely call it existing!

I am not concerned about the kids, grandkids, etc., having to pay anything back! There is no guarantee there will even be a tomorrow. We need to worry about TODAY!

The Bible says tomorrow will take care of itself. We all need GOD back in our lives, in our schools, and in The White House! We need the Pledge of Allegiance back in our schools and prayer back in them too.

Why do we keep letting the atheist tell us we can't worship our GOD! Pee on them...all of them...PRAISE THE LORD GOD OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN, and SEND US THE CHECK!

Unless one has been fortunate enough to have enough money to save, invest, pay for a home before retirement, people need help and can use all the help they can get.

With prices going up on everything, Social Security does not go very far these days. Try living on $50-$60 worth of groceries A MONTH if you are lucky to have that much left over after paying utilities, house payment, medical care !!! This is the way MOST SENIORS are having to live.

The new formula for determining poverty in this nation shows we have over 45 MILION people literally starving in this nation. The government worries about spending $5-10 billion over the next 10 years on its citizens, yet will send $15 BILLION PER MONTH TO Israel and nations across the pond, no hesitation in doing this, no explanation of what our money might be used for, the spending of taxpayers' money while taxpayers in this nation suffer, starve, vegetate, is downright immoral and we sit back and accept it, do nothing about it.

The government seems to think they can spend taxpayers' money any way they like......in fact, they can and do.....and we allow it while we suffer. We aren't living, we are existing !!! We're a nation of vegetables and those vegetables are deteriorating more and more to the point there is going to be an explosion someplace along the way to get people back to reality......Howard Hughes once told a congressional committee, "Let's get one thing straight here! You work for me, I don't work for you." Our government needs to be made aware of this again as they seem to have forgotten why they are there....it has become a back-scratching, two-faced game for members of congress, a game to play every day at our expense....

What seniors need is a cola based on their needs (ie) medicine,Doctors charges, groceries and utilitys.
