I passed the test, and was supposed to go into training in a few days. I was to be a crew leader (not going door to door). I asked her if my being in a wheelchair would be a problem to which she replied it would not since I was not going door to door. She told me she had to call her supervisor to be sure and would call me back. She did call back only to tell me that I would have to be able to walk in order to do the job. As if being disabled isn't enough, we get to be constantly reminded that our disabilities are equated to being useless in society.

..... to learn how to spell. How do you expect to work for the Census, when you can't even spell the word???

took the test last January and scored 97. Received two phone calls asking if I was still interested. The last one was in July. Called the local census office but they were unable to give me any news. When will I know whether or not I'll begin working???

I was a cencus taker years ago and would like to do it again but only in my neighborhood since i am disabled and use a electric wheelchair. I have some old bills that have to be paid and since i'm on ssi i cannot make too much money. Can you help me. The year that i worked was 1990 in New York but i was vaery good

I HAVE APPLIED FOR AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE TEST OR AN APPLICATION FOR THE 2010 CENCUS JOB.TESTS ARE BEING TAKEN IN NJ, BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED.IS THIS ON THE LEVEL?
