No it is not because everyone will be old one day if they live long enough -

do you want people to make fun of you ?

I'm 65 and I think you're being way too sensitive.

WWDTM is one of the best things on the radio right now and there was no ill-will behind any of these remarks.

I turned 50 about four months ago and someone called me middle aged. I said "I certainly HOPE SO! Much better than 2/3rd aged!" I thought the comments on this week's WWDTM were funny and in some cases true. Tom Bodett didn't say Harry Reid was 80. He said he was LIKE 80. My father is 80 and still travelling the world as a consultant, but he's out like a light at 9:30. My first thought when I read this blog was "Yeah well, old people are creepy." Then I thought "I can't wait to get to be creepy!" The thing about satire, is it's SATIRICAL! Don't be such a baby. (And don't go saying that I shouldn't be disparaging to the under 2 set).

Just turned 50. It made me laugh. If it offended you, perhaps you'd prefer this.

I don't find WWDTM's remarks gratuitous shot at older people at all. Getting old isn't for sissies or people without humor. Older folks are pretty much treated as disposable, but I don't think a few good-natured jibes from a radio quiz/humor show are responsible for that attitude. Lest I appear too youthful, I'm heading out of the prime-demographic this year and I already feel ancient.

To quote from "Stripes" -- "Lighten up, Francis".

Gee whiz I'm 66 and they ring pretty true and they did advertise the clapper for older people. Lots of older people are computer savy, I take no offence as outrageous as it was.

I find that none of the remarks in making comparisons using older people as examples were necessary. You will also be there soon enough. One thing older people have is dignity and experience. You name it, we've been there and done that and continue to learn something new every day. How about you !!!!!!!
