Technology must not only be able to address the medical, services and safety needs of seniors, it must be capable of addresses the social and intellectual needs which aging in place will create.

It is going to take local solutions to help people age well where they are, in neighborhoods they love, and the village concept is a great idea.
Another resource is the national "Community Partnerships for Older Adults" initiative funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. CPFOA which has been helping communities around the country create community partnerships of citizens, local leaders, businesses and service providers; first to assess possibilities and then strategize for practical solutions which fit their locale.

I think that the Village to Village network could play an important role in helping rural counties and communities across America to facilitate a better quality of aging in place experience for their seniors and caregivers.
