We need government, but we need jobs. At all ages. No job, no benefits, no future...I am too young and have too much experience to not contribute to a better life for my family. Unemployeed since 2008.

Our leaders just don't understand that the world needs a strong country to keep instability in check everywhere. If it isn't the United States who is it going to be? China, Russia, some middle East country? Does any right thinking person believe that individual liberties would be upheld under one of those regimes. I hate to think that I served my country in the Air Force to just see the decline of America happen for my children and grandchildren. We need other countries on our side and in order for that to happen we need to be strong militarily and diplomaticly. God Bless our troops. God bless America.

He is the ONLY answer to business as usual. Anyone who got SUCKERED by OBAMA. 1) What happened to closing Guantanimo? 2) The illegal wiretap programm-still alive and well. And, the list goes on and on. Just another actor who could read a teleprompter and fake sincerity.

For the sake of our future, check out Ron Pauls interviews on You Tube.

The entire country is asked to reduce spending, actually, we are forced to as we are the ones who are losing our jobs.

But why does the government not pitch in and does its part as well? There are so many $$ wasted just because it has been budgeted for and only because of that it needs to be spend, not because it is needed. And why are all services rendered for the government or ordered by the government so outrageously double or triple in price tag? Start now reducing spending on the government level and tax increases are not that drastically required. Those tax "breaks" listed above are laughable. That again supports only the ones who are in the fortunate position of doing the spending already.... Give politicians a half-time salary, just for 6 months, and see how big they will continue to shout we need to tax more. Charge all politicians for any reception dinners or lunches to leverage the cost for that.

That's just right: limit political campaign moneys, all politicians should work with the same budget during elections, demonstrating that its their ability to govern that is worth voting for and not their ability to make friends with the riches...and yes, what in the world is that Electoral thing, outdated system taking away peoples votes and power. Allow more parties into the government, diversify, this great country has so many more ideas and opinions represented. Having only two "ideals" govern the entire country and shutting off those with other voices and dreams - looks like a dictatorship to me. Let any politician get qualified for the job they are "applying" for, i.e. have them worked in this specific field interest for at least one year. They are always allowed to make decisions on our behalf but have no idea what live on our level looks like and what regulation truly would help us. The government is too separated from the people.

We no longer have a democracy. Call it a bureaucracy or a fascist government, one in which the politicians are owned by the big corporations. The middle class is being destroyed systematically by the banksters, who disenfranchise their stock and bond holders, then the taxpayers, and finally their customers with higher interest rates and higher fees. Now Goldman Sachs, who helped create this mess is reporting record profits, while the average family is struggling to survive. I think those who perpetrated this whole mess -- Goldman Sachs, Citicorp, and others -- should be tried for fraud and treason. What's the difference between someone who tries to destroy the country militarily and those who try to destroy the world economy?

I don't care who did what. What I would like is some ideas, thoughts, demands, dreams, etc. that are out there to aid America forward but also remember where we all came from and the eccense of our American spirit. However, time has changed. It took awhile for us to figure out that this change was not a good one. America changed from being ran by the people, for the people - to - ran by the corporations, for the highest dollar. Now because politics are ruled by politicians who are founding fathers for some of Americas most successful corpororations, their political agendas somehow don't represent ALL AMERICANS.

*One thing I can tell you is the middle-class - which is quickly becoming closer and closer to adults who have worked hard for 15, 20 years. Adults who started out with dreams just like our parents before us- if we work hard, make smart choices, and respect education and change; we will be able to prosper and so would our children, etc., w/ inflaction - canNOT afford higher taxes.

*Get rid of the two-party system. Let Americans vote for who they want.

*All candidates are restricted to the same dollar amount for campaigning; hell I might even donate that $1 asked for on my federal tax form if it went for that.

*Majority vote wins; no electorial college crap.

*No corporate lobbying.

*Americans could vote by mail, web site, in person for a full 24-hr period of time.

*A felon could vote if they remained law-abiding for five years as long as another felony was never committed.

*These multimillion, billion $$$ Corporations would pay more taxes - no more hiding profits in other countries!!! Cut their tax breaks, not the middle class.

*The definition of a small business would change to an Cprofit margin from number of shareholders. No more small business credits and policies for companies making millions.

*No more multi-million dollar salaries for any executive unless all staff members are living like kings.

*Raise the minimum wage and proverty level.

*Anyone making more than an indexed for inflation set income level per year upon retirement, does not get to collect social security.

* No American child who wants a college education and can maintain a "C" or better average, FT, will be denied.

*The anchor baby for illegal aliens should be abolished. What part of illegal does one not understand. If at least one of the parents is not a legal American, why should the child?

*Do a better job monitoring VISAs. Go AZ.

*Get rid of corporate prisons for profit. This is a new form of slavery for Americans. Develop improved rehabilitation programs. My theory is if you did something so bad that you need locked up forever, why are you here wasting my hard earned monies. Stop locking people up for petty crap and put the monies towards rehabilitation, education, counciling, & house arrest.

*Legalize marijuana; tax it and move on.

*Contact your politicians.

*Fear for your children.

*NO US 3rd World County

I have lots more.
