If you are going to correct someone please make sure your punctuation is correct. In the above statement, neither its nor it's should have had apostrophes, neither of these words were ironic.

Now the fact that I'm correcting your correction, "it's", indeed... ironic.

"In it's summary ..."

Come on Philip, didn't you learn about apostrophes in the 4th grade?

Ive been on disability since March o7 so its been a little over 3 years....I had menegitis and came close to dying but I didnt so I finally applied disability leaving a good job due to my cognitive decline from the menegitis. It has been a godsend for my family....without it we would be in hot water no doubt. I did pay for 28 years into a system so I guess Im eligible. The problem is if a disabled person wants to work it is near to impossible. There are so many ads on the net about work for disabled NTI, and other diabled work sites...the problem is they never respond back.....Its a catch 22 if your disabled its harder to get back on your feet.......the people on disability are the ones suffering no doubt...its very hard surviving on 12000 a year compared to the 70000 I was making as an electrician.....nice brutal dose of the poverty reality.

I had to leave work and go on Disability Income about three years ago because I suffer from short-term memory problems as a result of treatment for cancer.

When I first became disabled, I was eligible for Disability Income & Food Stamps. A few months ago I received a meager cost of living increase in Disability Income. After that, I discovered I now receive too much money to qualify for Food Stamps, and became ineligible to receive them.

I would have gladly forgone the cost of living increase so I could continue to receive Food Stamps; but I was given no choice. Now, I can barely get by from month-to-month. Better coordination is needed to help those like me to continue to receive the benefits of both programs.
