How to Find Your Best Place to Retire

Candace of CA - take your vacations in the US, visit these places, drive there - what is in and around the area, what do YOU want in retirement? Cultural, Historical, Beach, Mountains, 4 seasons or one? These are the hard questions. Need to figure out what YOU like then you will know it is the 'right' decision.

My husband & I have been doing driving vacations since the kids left the next and have narrowed it down to 2 states and will in the next few years re-visit both. They are places we have been and liked for whatever reason and now we will explore them more. Have already done the tax issues and other considerations and both are within our budget.

Good luck!

It scares the heck out of me - I want to make the move so badly but what if it is the wrong move? How do you KNOW it is the right place? Did you spend time there before you moved?

After living and working in LA for 20 years, my wife and I escaped to a much simpler lifestyle in Petersboro, Utah. Utah is ranked in the top 10 states for the best state tax climates.

We have horses, chickens and cats. The views are sensational. We are 15 min from the Utah State University town of Logan where we can buy anything we need. Then we leave town, and go back to our home in the country. Total silence and pristine beauty.

Quality of life is our highest priority, now.
