I would like to mention that Jumbo Contacts is a great address book app that lets you look at your contacts without needing to put on your reading glasses.

Just so you all know, that Apps for All site appears to be a scam. Each app they advertise is just a list of more apps.

I think Seniors will use the iPad a lot soon.

I will use it to monitor my solar panels online when outside. See my blog for more information at dansolar.wordpress.com or dansolar1.wordpress.com.

I get my new iPad in a few days. I got it for going solar = cool huh?

You need access to a computer and I-tunes in order to update your iPad. Yes, apps can be updated via the iPad but not your systems OS update. So in reality, the iPad is more like a laptop for traveling. I use mine pretty much constantly both at home and away. Seniors who have never used a computer won't want a iPad. However, if they are interested in an electronic reader, I would recommend a Kindle or other such e-reader.

As for the comment about the iPad being old enough for the unlimited plan, that is true as long as you have kept it active before June. Frankly the 2 GB for $25 is plenty for me when away from home for an extended length of time.
