I found a service that allows my Grandfather to use email, internet and all sorts of other computer functions. He has since been able to regularly view all our family emails and is now using Facebook.

You can get more information at www.intouchlink.com and contact them for annual subscriptions to give as gifts.

Excellent choices. A side benefit to giving a technology based gift is the ability to have generations come together as the younger generation shows the older generation how to navigate and use the internet, their ipod or any of the other devices that are new and different to their grandparents.
