Why don't we wage earners start paying a bit more more into Social Security plus eliminate the age to stop collecting. Most Americans pay social security taxes there entire lives anyway because they don't make over $106,000 per year.

stop paying the bills for people who are here illegally
cut medicaid for criminals and drug addicts
cut payments for all the teens who are just intentionally going out and having babies so they get paid and don't have to work
anyone who is capable of working and wants welfare and unemployment payments should be drug tested and required to apply for jobs, participate in training programs and/or do volunteer work......let them clean up after the idiots protesting on wall street and adding millions to the taxpayers burden

For all the ones out there that think Obama is doing such a great job, I would like for you to name 5. The only thing that sticks out is the debt that he has incurred for us and our childeren and there children to have to pay. Every thing is going up so fast but how fast is your pay check going up, does himself or all the others up on the hill have to worry about how they are going to pay there bills or worry about losing their homes, auto or health care. Have you heard of any of them going into foreclosure on their homes or cars. I think the "American People" people need to wake up and come together to figure a way to get this country back to the people and get decisions being made to help us survive not help us lose everything we all have worked for all our lives "YOU BETTER THINK"

MY DAUGHTER,AND SON INLAW, GRAND DAUTHER AND SO ON HAVE HAD TO PAY FOR EVER THING THEY GOT TO GO TO SCHOOL. IT IS SO WRONG TO GIVE THE ONES THAT ARE NOT U.S. BORN EVER THING AND NOT OUR OWN PEOPLE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS GOVERNMENT.I DONT SEE YOU PAYING THEIR SCHOOL LOANS FOR THEM. SCHOOL TEACHERS DONT MAKE THAT MUCH AND YOU WANT THEM TO TEACH YOUR KIDS .BUT YOU DONT WANT TO PAY THEM A GOOD WAGE TO DO SO.AND A LOT OF OTHER JOBS ARE THE SAME WAY.

Why??? would the goverment give every country that sends college students over here a free ride? I know students who have received full scholarships, books included, monthly housing allowances,spending allowances while united States citzens students can barely survive. Whats wrong with us letting this happen. Today, our students are stressed to to the point of giving up from just trying to keep grades up while,working a job to pay for all the fees colleges keep adding parking fees have tripled, If a parent cant afford to keep health insurance colleges makes the student carry an insurance of their choice. When most students are already strapped,from low wages and we havent even started with their housing or food while they are in college. American student are going to be so indebt that they never will get out . Because you can bet they will have loan companies and financial people to pay. Do you think our goverment has the funds to bail them out.

All elected officials (Congressman, Senators and of course, all the way up to the President) must be required to have the same retirement benefits and Medicare as all the citizens of the United States. NO MORE GOLDEN FLEECE! I can't even begin to describe how quickly this problem would be resolved in everyone's favor!!!

We the people have worked hard all our lives, paying into SS and Medicare so we would have it available when needed. First of all, I don't recall giving anyone the right to tell me when I could retire. That should depend on the person and how long they have worked, health issues, etc.
Secondly, I do not recall giving the US Government the right or rather permission to borrow funds from the money I have paid into while working.
Therefore, who gives anyone Dems, GOP, IND. or the President himself the right to take my money, spend it elsewhere, and because the Government has spent and borrowed us into Bankruptcy, now they want to take stop it? Why don't all the so-called leaders of this country stop playing the blame game, and dip into their own pockets to get us out of this mess. My family is as deserving is theirs. Why don't those guys give us the same "Set for Life" "Entitlements" as they have. Speaking of entitlements, its my money which Medicare still deducts money each month over and above what we paid into it, and then they have the audacity to call it "Entitlements?" The only ones getting "Entitlements" are the Illegal Immigrants who come here and take our jobs, and the Government Leadership. What is wrong with this picture? So don't go telling the American people that SS and Medicare are taking too much out of the budget when the leaders are the ones spending it. Even a child knows when you continue to borrow, you eventually have to pay it back. No, there is one reason only why we are in the shape we are in, and that is mishandling of funds. The Government needs to take a cut in pay and live like the rest of us and maybe then, we could balance the budget. These folks need to step back and regroup, come out working together and find a solution without depriving us of what we paid into, earned. There is no "I" in "Teamwork" so stop all the bickering, blaming, and forget the 2012 election. If these guys are doing the job WE THE PEOPLE hired them to do, the election will take care of itself. Otherwise WE THE PEOPLE might clean house and start over with a whole new bunch of so-called lawmakers. Don't tell who my doctor is or what medicine I can take. Why would I want the Government to control every aspect of my life? They can't even run Government without getting us into a mess. So I say to all the POWERS THAT BE in Washington: LEAVE SS, MEDICARE, MEDICAID, DEFENSE, SCHOOLS, AND WE THE PEOPLE ALONE. We didn't elect you for that purpose. In fact I didn't vote for some of you at all nor would I, and those I did vote for, probably won't get my vote again.
