On Seroquel is there an exact day when it will be release in its generic form?

Seroguel is suppose to become generic in March. Who is going to make the generic and how soon.

I was wondering why I saw a Lipitor commercial the other day. Well Pfizer got smart and priced their branded version of Lipitor a little above the generic price to recoup some of that business back. This way patients may opt for the branded version over generic if it's only say $10-15 more.

It will be avail generic within days after Mar 1 in many locations.

I see that Lexapro's patent ends this March. Will the generic be available the same month?

I just filled a 30-day script for Lipitor's generic Atorvastatin. My cost was $110.78. My insurance - Anthem - paid a whopping $10.71. What a rip! I am trying to figure out another generic type statin that my doctor can prescribe.

they are still charging brand price for Plavix (clopidogrel), It was suppose to go generic on May of 2011 but today is 2-1-2012 and still charging brand price of 30 count for $172.00. There is no end to corporate greed.

Do you know when the generic for Lexapro will be available and how much it will cost?

Nancy of IN 3:09PM January 24, 2012

Don't count on a big reduction in co-pay in any of these newly generic drugs, if they follow Pfizer's tactics (Lipitor). I expected a significant reduction in the co-pay when I purchased Lipitor, following it's generic release on 11/30/11.

I was unpleasantly surprised to find I paid the same co-pay ($146 for 3 mo. supply) as I had paid for the brand before. It was the same price in generic as in brand. I called my insurance, AARP Secure Horizon Medicare Advantage. Their answer was, currently, there is only one company producing generic Lipitor, and until others are added, there is essentially no difference in price - due to the lack of competition. This sets a very profitable precedent that other drug companies can follow, afterE their brand name goes generic.
