New York This article is happening to me right now. My wifes father passed away in 2003 and we new nothing of a policy. We were contacted 02/09/12 that a policy existed of $25,000. The insurance company has been deducting premiums since death and we were notified because the company got audited by the feds. My wife got a check for $12,410 thats a nice round figure. How does the ins. company get to reinburse themselves for premiums that shouldn't have been paid in the first place. We are currently sueing the insyrance company for the balance, complaining to the attourney general. We are entitled to the money and will probably finally be paid after we pass away what a scam.

Yeah I agree. Life insurances are not always as we expect them to be. Good insight, huh! I'll consider your points on my research
