Begin Social Security Benefits for the Right Reasons

Does everyone realize that our President gave us a raise this year of 2%. He did this by taking 4.2% from our checks for Social Security rather than 6.2%. The Social Security program is going broke and he took more out of the kitty. Who actually noticed the $10-30/week less in fica deductions. He did however leave the employer contribution alone. He robbed the system of approximately 17% of what it took in this year.

When a person dies and no one can collect their social security (SS) payments - what happens to that money they have paid into SS? My father died before my mother and she collected on his SS. So what happened to her's?

I couldn't agree more with you!I've held a job since I was 16 years old I'm now 44 and hear every day that when I reach retirement it won't be there. So if ANYTHING happens to help me get a penny that I've paid in well then I'm all for it charity begins at home.Where did we ever sign up to allow all the welfare and supposed disabled bail water from our financial future?I think that if you don't work you don't draw benefits.Overweight, depressed psychotic or your family just inherited bad luck TOO bad,the middle class only has shoulders so wide we cannot continue to hold you forever, thanks Cindy!

To: Spencer D. Parr, Esq.

Your post is terribley misleading and an unethical way to get business.

This article deals with SS retirement benefits not SS disability benefits.

Your post should be removed.

That would be a nice gesture but in this day and time where just about every politician is trying to steal SS from the people, it is better to draw it early so that when the day comes that they figure out a way to rob the people, at least you will be one of those people already in the system and no matter what, they are not going to pull the plug on you yet they will pull the plug on those that have not gotten in yet. So might as well get what you can out of all that money you have paid in for all those years or kiss it goodbye!
