The last paragraph in this article hit me like a brick. I spent nine years caring for my dad with Alzheimer's, my step-mother with Parkinson's and my brother who suffered from congestive heart failure. It was very aging. I now have diabetes, high blood pressure, need extensive dental work and suffer from depression. My family is gone now, but I am still here to deal with the consequenses. I strongly urge caregivers to get help. Make time for yourself and just as you are caring for others, remember to love yourself as much!
