How to Downsize Your Possessions

Indeed, it is difficult when the things that we value appear to have no value to others. So many people keep things with the thought that, "Someday, my grandchildren will want this," when in actuality, their grandchildren aren't remotely interested.

The process is often eased by using an estate sale service, a downsizing specialist, or a Senior Real Estate Specialist. NAPO (the National Association of Professional Organizers) can often recommend a professional organizer in your area who is also trained in downsizing techniques.

Downsizing is dealing with mortality, but one hoards at different times for different reasons. Finding the reason is difficult, so I am throwing out without knowing the big why of hoarding. Having a list of things to do instead of shop seems like an answer. I brought it up in Alon-on to help me be conscience of it.
