Are Older Workers Taking Jobs From the Young?

Not in Finland. Here. it's the exact opposite. If someone is 50 or over, the chance of them getting work is much lower than it ever was before that age. Why? Because it incurs much higher employer costs to employ someone who is over 50 here.

Why is that so? I don't know. You'd have to ask the Finnish government - and they are largely too stupid to give a reliable answer.
